Sigma Designs in Denmark develops innovative software and hardware for wireless home control and the IoT industry. Our patented Z-Wave technology platform consists of an open standard short-range data
communications protocol as well as state-of- the-art Single Chips. The Z-Wave ecosystem includes more than 2100 certified interoperable devices, and 600+ member companies make up the Z-Wave Alliance.

Deliver excellent technical support
Playing a central role as a highly skilled technical support engineer, you will be responsible for assisting our partners using Z-Wave. You will be joining our Z-Wave support team where you and your 3 colleagues will provide global support relating to Z-Wave IP Routers, Z-Ware Middleware Web API and Z-Wave Smart Home Portals reference designs. In addition, you will need your technical insight to develop technical support content to our Z-Wave Support Portal, making your knowledge available to colleagues and customers.

Make a difference and share knowledge
Supporting development of Z-Wave based products from hardware to mobile apps, we as a team have a vast and unique knowledge. Working closely with our R&D department, we play a vital part in Sigma Designs, acting
as a bridge between our customers and R&D, passing on our findings, pointing to where improvements can be made. You will also carry out technical training activities should the need arise to extend knowledge to
colleagues within the organisation or externally to partners.

Engineer with a flair for customer service
To manage this position, you have a relevant technical background such as MSc E.E or equivalent. You also possess excellent communication skills, being able to make your knowledge available to others both in speech
and writing.

Furthermore, you have:

  • A track record of working in a support organisation - with highly technical content
  • A track record conducting technical training and writing technical documentation
  • Strong knowledge of IP, wireless networks and communication protocols
  • Basic Z-Wave experience
  • Experience with Linux, web servers and services is beneficial

On a personal level, you possess the drive that enables you to work independently. You also have an analytical mindset and an interest in trouble shooting. Finally, you are very quality-conscious, systematic and possess
interpersonal skills enabling you to understand problems from a user perspective.
