Senior Software Developer
3Shape Software Development - We Innovate for Superior Patient Care
Award-winning 3D scanners and software for dental practices and labs
At 3Shape, we are working with dental professionals across the world to change dentistry by developing innovations that provide superior dental care for patients.
Joining our Orthodontics software development group, you will work on the software behind both current and future product lines within the specialty field of orthodontics. Our development group is organized into multiple distributed Scrum teams with members from multiple sites, and across the teams we use state of the art development tools.
Help strengthen our know-how on architectural design and best practices
As a senior developer, you participate in the full lifecycle process of development projects: from writing requirements, designing and coding software to conducting reviews. All while making sure that the products we develop continue to meet and exceed customer expectations.
Another central aspect of your position will be to champion best practice for software engineering within your team, especially in terms of our internal 3Shape frameworks. This includes defining, documenting, and facilitating architectural design choices in the development projects. Doing so, you provide mentorship and coaching for your junior colleagues, applying your expertise to further strengthen our overall technical skills level.
“As part of the Orthodontics software development group, you will become our “force multiplier” and help maintain the overall architecture and design quality - both as an individual contributor and as the overall architectural responsible for all projects of the group,” explains program manager, Anders Nielsen.
A modern development environment with cross-border Scrum teams
Joining an international development environment, you will collaborate closely with fellow developers in both Copenhagen and Kiev. Moreover, you will partake in project workshops alongside product managers and other relevant stakeholders, collaborating on creating the technical framework for future products.
Stepping into our Copenhagen office, you will soon experience the shared passion and drive among our employees. We are truly excited about the work we do, which creates a knowledge-intensive and inspiring work environment. And as a member of our team, you will have plenty of room to both make a difference and fulfill your personal ambitions.
Talented and experienced software developer
We are looking for only the best and brightest in the business. Your mindset is equally important to your technical skills, which - among other things - means that excellent people skills are key. So is your ability to thrive in a dynamic environment where you get to invest your knowledge and reap the rewards. You are eager to invest yourself in our domains and architecture, growing your know-how and being able to contribute to our overall development strategy.
To succeed in this position, we expect you to have the following qualifications:
- A M.Sc. in computer science, engineering or a similar field
- Experience with .NET framework and especially WPF application development
- Experience with agile practices, including test-driven development, continuous integration and Scrum
- Strong experience with software products release cycles
- Fluency in English, both spoken and written
Any knowledge of one or more of the following will be considered advantageous but is not a prerequisite: medical device software development standards and practices, 3D computer graphics and its related mathematics, machine learning theory and applications, high performance computing and GPUs, as well as functional programming concepts and their implementation in imperative languages.
