Contract Manager or Senior Contract Manager driving strategic procurement activities for Network, Communication & Surveillance (NCS) for offshore logistics

Would you like to optimise our procurement activities within NCS while reducing costs and complexity?

Join us and become Contract Manager or Senior Contract Manager in the OPEX Wind Power Procurement Department, which is responsible for sourcing and contract management of NCS across Wind Power during operation and maintenance, and where you will be part of a contract management team consisting of 14 employees.

The department is part of Wind Power which has 2,100 employees and is one of four business units in DONG Energy. Wind Power is the world's largest developer and operator of offshore wind power, and we use our unique knowledge in all phases of our wind turbine projects. During the last 20 years, we have developed and constructed the largest portfolio of offshore wind farms in Northern Europe, and we are expanding with international activities in the US and Asia-Pacific.

You may choose freely to be based either at our office in Skærbæk near Fredericia or in Gentofte in the Greater Copenhagen area. However, you should expect some travelling in relation to your work.

Your key tasks will be to

  • drive strategic procurement activities with the objective of creating price reductions while reducing supplier and process complexity
  • ensure that we capture and optimise synergies during the construction phase and during operation and maintenance
  • deliver safe, high-quality and cost-effective services across our wind project portfolio to achieve measurable improvements on price and quality of service
  • develop procurement plans in collaboration with relevant stakeholders and ensure successful execution
  • prepare and carry out tendering as well as preparing and negotiating contracts.

Furthermore, you will be in continuous dialogue with key suppliers and other external stakeholders and will keep track of market developments. You will also be in charge of implementing and managing supplier contracts.

Your qualifications and core competences include that you

  • have a technical or commercial education at master's or bachelor's level in economics, law or engineering
  • have some experience with and in-depth knowledge of strategic procurement and tendering as well as with preparing, negotiating and managing contracts in connection with large construction or operational projects or similar relevant experience, and preferably experience with EU tender law
  • are able to handle a large variety of stakeholders, both internally and externally
  • have a proactive and structured approach to your work, enabling you to successfully manage and deliver several simultaneous business-critical projects, both short and long-term
  • have very strong negotiating skills and speak and write English fluently.

It is preferable if you also have experience with offshore logistics.

We offer
A unique and challenging job where you have every opportunity to develop your skills, when you help to carry out some of the world's largest offshore wind projects.

In DONG Energy Wind Power, we have a high level of expertise and many complex and challenging work tasks. We work goal-oriented and efficiently with some of the world's largest offshore wind projects, and we are committed to reducing the cost of electricity.
