Service Engineers to Boiler Service, Aalborg

Alfa Laval Aalborg A/S is looking for service engineers to join our service team in Aalborg You will work with highly motivated and engaged colleagues around the world all doing their outmost to fulfil customer expectations at high technical level.

Main tasks and responsibilities:
As our new service engineer, you will carry out service, maintenance and repair task on-board vessels where ever in the world your service is needed and often with short notice. As there is many new environmental request to the Maritime Business this leads to focus on Green technologies and will give you the opportunity to execute retrofit installations.

Your primary tasks will be:

• Service and troubleshooting of boilers, burners and control systems
• Inspection of boiler systems
• Commissioning of boiler plants and retrofits systems
• Training of crew in handling and servicing the boiler systems
• Technical support and documentation
• Ad hoc participation in projects across the organisation

The job includes much travel activity (approximately 160-180 days per year) and besides the high rate of travelling, you will be required at the office in Aalborg about 1 month yearly.

Your competences:
We expect you to have a marine engineer or industrial electrical background including a thorough knowledge of boilers, boiler pressure parts, burners and control systems. Experience from a similar employment or sailing time, as a marine engineer is an advantage, but not a must.

We are looking for colleagues with strong problem-solving skills, who work structured and quality-consciously, to provide our customers with high-level service. It is important that you are flexible, independent and resilient and thrive in a very active environment. You must have a high energy level and a good self-confidence.

Further, good communication skills in English, spoken and written, are essential, along with an understanding of Microsoft Office products. You must be able to obtain the special “medical certificate for mariners and fishermen”.
