Technical Project Leader for Front-end Innovation

FOSS Analytical A/S is looking for an entrepreneurial Technical Project Leader to initiate and manage early-phase innovative development projects primarily within food safety.

The job
Front-end Innovation is a highly skilled cross-disciplinary team responsible for drawing an overall current and future picture of what food safety tests entail within the food industry. From this overall picture, they identify potential commercial opportunities for analytical solutions to support the industry.

As a Technical Project Leader for Front-end Innovation, you will be responsible for planning and managing the first development steps, which are required for bringing an innovative idea to the level that allows a canonical development process. This will include planning and managing activities ranging from POP studies, conducted externally in collaboration with research institutes and customers' R&D organizations, to project management of internal business and technical development projects at FOSS. Finally, together with your team, you will be responsible for transforming opportunities into well-defined development projects that can be handed over to R&D Development teams.

Qualifications
The preferred candidate holds an advanced academic degree in science or engineering and has experience with the development of multi-disciplinary measurement instruments. Additionally, you have experience with project management, including contracting and managing activities carried out by local and international sub-suppliers. You must be fluent in English both written and spoken. Acquaintance with bio-sensors and immuno-assays (ELISA, Lateral Flow Devices), hand-on capabilities and lab experience will be considered as an advantage.

Personally, you are independent and highly self-motivated. You are curious by nature, and thrive on solving complex problems. You are proactive, open about your work, and possess a collaborative mindset.

You will be collaborating with employees from different professional backgrounds and cultures. Therefore, you must have excellent facilitation and communication skills to utilize these differences to create innovative ideas and solutions.
