Process and System Designer to develop and maintain our Engineering Design Platform (EDP) (258807)

The Master Data Management and Training is a team of 13 dedicated colleagues within our Technology Validation and Quality department in the R&D organization. The team supports all our R&D departments across the different wind turbine platforms on a daily basis and further works closely together with Service, SCM and our Onshore and Offshore market units. Together, their primary focus is on ensuring unified master data structure and principles, unified TeamCenter usage, Reference Designation System Power Plant code system and to ensure that relevant trainings in these topics are facilitated.
The team is looking for an experienced CAD professional with a technical background to join them. Someone who is passionate about design processes and systems design and at the same time capable of developing and maintaining the Engineering Design Platform (EDP) in Teamcenter.
 
It will be your responsibility to ensure that the design processes are transparent and described sufficiently as well as absorbed and lived by in the organization. This we believe you will succeed in by identifying and collaborating with relevant user communities and ensure that relevant trainings are provided. You will therefore depend on building an extensive network within Siemens Gamesa, as your tasks require cross organizational cooperation.
 
What are my responsibilities?
In detail, your main tasks will be to: 

  • Secure EDP structure integration GPD/NX (CAD)
  • Define and maintain the overall Engineering Design Platform
  • Set/decide on rules and best practice (taking other experts advice into account)
  • Drive business process optimizations
  • Advise/train in building the EDP structure
  • Facilitate EDP trainings and make sure it reflects best practices
  • Ensure that all training documentation is up to date and available
  • Develop and maintain documentation (user guides, best practice, training material, instructions, procedures, processes) within the EDP area
  • Responsible for coordinating Teamcenter key user community (EDP)
  • Ensure that other key user communities are established and available
  • Participate in the community activities and ensure key users are up to speed on best practices

What do I need to qualify for this job?

  • We picture that you have a technical background as Engineer combined with 5 years of relevant experience
  • It is a requirement that you have at least a couple of years of experience working with NX or other CAD programs such as Inventor, Solid Works or Pro/E
  • Experience working with Teamcenter or other PLM systems is an advantage but if this is not the case don’t worry; then we will train you
  • We expect that you have experience in creating and updating processes in a complex system set up
  • You are an excellent communicator by nature
  • You have proven your ability to facilitate discussions in different communities and drive implementations with various stakeholders in a large international organization
  • You are proactive, extrovert and self-driven and at the same time a team-player with a good sense of humour
  • You act determined towards your milestones but adapt to changing environments easily while keeping a sense of perspective.
  • You thrive in an international environment and you possess good English skills orally as well as written
