Do you understand design and analogue circuits? What about mixed signal systems? And do you want new and exciting assignments within the IOT segment? Here is your opportunity to:

  • build the mission critical innovative analogue subsystems for RF, power handling and signal acquisition that we cannot yet buy
  • be a driving force in the continued development of mixed-signal sub-systems for our RF transceiver core
  • become a part of an international organization in a rapidly growing market

Become a vital part of Sigma Designs
With our Z-Wave technology, we enable low cost and power conscious wireless home control.
Through the Z-Wave- for-IP (Z/IP) technology, the applications can be connected to the internet - breaking the boundaries of the home. Sigma Designs is expanding our Copenhagen office and looking for a knowledgeable and analytical professional for our ASIC team.

Innovate extremely power efficient circuit implementations
In this position we have freed you and your colleagues to focus on designing the mission critical analogue subsystems that lets our chips stand out, by either buying or outsourcing the design of all standard analogue components. Thus, using your experience as an analogue CMOS-ASIC designer, you use your capability of creating extremely low power and extremely power efficient solutions that goes beyond the text-book reference designs.

Creating results the productive way
You apply your skills in teams creating many flavors of RF circuits, power handling circuits and data acquisition circuits, currently using Cadence design tools. Many of these circuits are fitted with digital interfaces and optimized for integrations into mixed signal systems. You will also get to architect and implement mixed signal systems, using your modelling skills beyond circuit level. Cooperating with external layout designers, following up on their work, you perform floor planning and layout supervision. Finally, you get to document your work and prove your results in the lab.

A strong team
You become a part of an international company counting 50+ people locally in Denmark. Working in cross-functional teams with our MPSoC and software specialists, you can look forward to challenging tasks and professional feedback in a company that still has the feel of being a start-up enterprise. We welcome innovation, giving you a large say in how we do things and an impact on your daily life within the organization.

Experience with transistor design and feedback control systems
To manage this position, your most important skill is your understanding of design and circuits, and success comes from your solid experience with transistor design and feedback control systems. You probably have a PhD/BSEE/MSEE and vast experience with analog/analog mixed signal IC design.

  • You have strong modelling skills and can characterize and model both linear and non-linear circuits and use IC design CAD tools such as Cadence, Spectre or Spice simulators.
  • You have a solid understanding of CMOS circuit design, circuit simulation, design verification, and understanding I/O circuits including isolation and decoupling strategies and ESD issues.
  • You have experience with multiple voltage domains, device physics, ultra-low power and low noise design techniques and lab skills.

On a personal level, you are proactive, curious and have the drive to create results. You have excellent problem solving skills and can estimate the needed time to accomplish tasks and meet deadlines. You are a strong team player, enjoying the cross-functional collaboration within and outside Sigma Designs Denmark.
