Process engineer in multidisciplinary projects
As a process engineer you will be responsible for handling common process design tasks on multidisciplinary projects. The variety in your tasks is high and you will solve challenges within onshore oil & gas storage and terminals, as well as LNG plants and refineries. The projects you will be working on are mainly feasibility, concept or FEED studies, as well as specialist tasks to support all kinds of other projects. We have a high focus on knowledge sharing and competence development in Ramboll. Therefore, you will be a valued sparring partner across disciplines with technical insight and a good overview of projects and tasks to ensure design consistency.
We offer you the opportunity to work with tasks such as:
- Process design including design basis, process simulations and heat and mass balances
- Preparation of process flow diagrams, utility flow diagrams and piping and instrumentation diagrams
- Preparation of system descriptions for process and utility systems
- Design calculations and specification of process equipment, such as separators, compressors, valves and
- umps
- Performing debottlenecking studies
- Flare and blowdown simulations
- Participation in proposal preparation
Quality-conscious, proactive and result oriented
You have a good overview and are able to keep several “balls in the air” while being very focused on quality and deadlines. When working on concept studies you maintain a good overview and think “out of the box” and when working on FEED studies you are able to go into great details. Further, you use your result-oriented and proactive skills to deliver on our projects. With your flexible mind-set you gradually take on new process related tasks and responsibilities in projects and you can work within different oil and gas areas. Finally, it is crucial that you are an excellent team player who is appreciated by colleagues as well as clients, with the ability to communicate clearly in a positive manner.
To succeed in the role, you need the following competences:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering
- Min. 5-7 years of experience within the oil and gas industry (preferably from onshore industry)
- Previous experience as process engineer on multidisciplinary projects with similar tasks
- Min. 5 years of experience with feasibility, concept and FEED studies
- Min. 3 years of experience in using Hysys and analysis of outputs
- Previous experience with small scale LNG is valued
- Proficient in English, written and spoken. Danish or other Scandinavian language are an advantage
