Senior HSE Manager at the Anholt offshore wind farm
Would you like to take up the challenges of a high-profile, dynamic HSE role, providing HSE management support at one of our Danish offshore wind farms?

Join us and become Senior HSE Manager in our Operations HSE department, where you will be responsible for providing independent, expert, and professional advice to our Operations organisation on all health, safety and environmental matters.

Operations HSE is part of Wind Power which has 1800 employees and is one of four business units in DONG Energy. Wind Power is the world’s largest developer and operator of offshore wind power, and we use our unique knowledge in all phases of our wind turbine projects. During the last 20 years, we have developed and constructed the largest portfolio of offshore wind farms in Northern Europe, and we are expanding with international activities in the US and Asia-Pacific.

You will be based at our Anholt site office in Grenaa, Jutland, and should expect regular offshore travel.

Your key tasks will be to

  • support the implementation of our HSE strategy at the Anholt wind farm site by setting strategic goals and driving activities at site
  • act as site focal point to external regulatory and legislative bodies on all relevant HSE issues
  • provide pro-active, visible HSE management support to the Operations team in order to facilitate continuous improvements in site safety culture and HSE KPIs
  • ensure compliance with our HSE management standards at the Anholt site
  • provide regular feedback and suggestions for continuous improvement of our policies, procedures and ways of working
  • engage in the day-to-day management of on-site health and safety, which includes incident handling, investigations, campaigns, inspections and audits
  • ensure the site meets the legislative requirements, joint venture partner HSE requirements and the Group's HSE target of zero HSE LTIs.

Furthermore, you will be expected to pro-actively identify ways to collaborate with other wind farm sites on standardising and improving ways of working with HSE management in the wind power industry. You will also have the opportunity to lead incident investigations and act as an HSE subject matter expert for Wind Power.

Your qualifications and core competences include that you

  • have some years of relevant work experience, either in an operational role, such as an offshore wind turbine technician, or in a back office HSE function providing support to offshore operations on HSE matters
  • have extensive knowledge of HSE legislation in Denmark relevant to the wind power industry
  • have a proactive and systematic approach to your work tasks
  • speak and write Danish fluently and have a professional level of spoken and written English
  • thrive in an international environment and are able to create good relationships with your stakeholders.

Furthermore, you have strong people influencing, presentation and communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively in both corporate and site settings. In addition, you must be fully proficient in MS Excel and MS PowerPoint and have strong report-writing skills. You will also have a strong self-drive, a high motivation and resilience coupled with a positive mind-set.

It will be an advantage, but not a requirement, if you have a bachelor’s degree in a related technical subject. If you have any experience in a related industry, such as the offshore oil and gas industry, you may also be considered for this role.

We offer
A unique job with real potential to add value across our expanding offshore wind portfolio. Through your work, you will contribute to fighting climate change as you will be participating actively in the development and implementation of renewable energy solutions. You will work with a passionate and easy-going group of colleagues who are dedicated to improving our own HSE culture and supporting the wider wind industry.

In DONG Energy Wind Power, we have a high level of expertise and many complex and challenging work tasks. We work goal-oriented and efficiently with some of the world's largest offshore wind projects, and we are committed to reducing the cost of electricity.
