Your challenges
Working in inspiring surroundings at the VELUX Group in Skjern, you will be leading ten employees with backgrounds as technical projects managers and mechanical engineers - an ambitious team working with project management, simulation and design for robust solutions.

The overall objective for your department is to optimise existing products on quality and cost. You will be responsible for the competence development of your team aligning competencies with future demands in Product Care & Cost and for educating technical project managers so that they are well equipped to lead projects according to stage gate principles.

Your other primary tasks will be to:

• Participate and contribute to continuous development of Product Care & Cost
• Establish in-depth relations to relevant partners and internal stakeholders
• Ensure best practices are identified and implemented - we work with Lean
• Communicate strategies and objectives to your team and relevant stakeholders
• Ensure compliance to VELUX code of conduct, our values and mission

Your qualifications
We expect you to have a technical background at BSc. or MSc. level e.g. as mechanical or production engineer including ten years or more relevant experience primarily from a company that develops and produces physical products. It will definitely be a plus if you are also familiar with the flow from idea over development to production and product maintenance. In addition, five years of relevant managerial experience working in a project/matrix organisation will be valued.

Strong leadership, influential and collaboration skills is ‘a must’ including the ability to interact and align diverse stakeholders across multiple geographies and business units.

On a personal level, you are a self-starter with a high drive, who thrives on results and see changes as new opportunities. You get energized by working in a dynamic, complex and changing environment.

Fluency in English both verbally and in writing is necessary.
