CBTC and Interlocking Design Manager for S-bane Copenhagen

Opportunity
As part of the Danish signalling programme Siemens Mobility is responsible for equipping the S-bane urban transportation system in Copenhagen with a state of the art CBTC train control system. We are looking for an experienced System Design Manager to drive system management of high profile large scale projects, e.g. enhancement, maintenance and adjustment of existing system design by utilizing existing system applications and functions for driving optimal system operation.

Job role
You will become a permanent part of the System Design management team, and is expected to act in the area of tension between customer, consultants, authorities as well as national and international Siemens entities. You will be responsible for maintaining and engineering an existing system concept, based on already developed generic components, which fulfils the customer requirements throughout the entire execution phase of the S-bane Copenhagen project, to minimize the technical risks. The role will focus on the CBTC and interlocking discipline, and especially on smoothening the design and implementation of the next rollouts.

Responsibilities

  • Design and maintenance of CBTC and Interlocking sub system architecture
  • Stakeholder management: You will bridge the collaboration between a wide range of stakeholders to ensure commitment and facilitate clarification of technical challenges
  • Perform all the tasks involved in Requirement engineering of the discipline specific requirements
  • Support the Project Manager in controlling and reporting progress based on detailed planning and ensuring adequate technical documentation for customer approval
  • Drive compliance with standards and railway safety norms
  • Some travel to Germany must be expected - approximately 25 days per year

Qualifications

  • You have an educational degree as Engineer or Technical Project Manager with strong experience in railway systems, train control interlocking or similar systems and project engineering management in large complex technical systems
  • You have a minimum of 3-5 years proven experience in system/engineering management
  • Fluent in spoken and written English
  • You have strong analytical and communication skills and work structured
  • You understand the importance of customer involvement, and is able to accomplice win/win solutions through team work and stakeholder management
  • You are self-driven and result oriented
