Alfa Laval - the world's leading supplier of marine boilers - is looking for an Engineer/ Manager to our Sales Support team for Repairs in Boiler Service within the Business Unit, Boiler & Gas Systems. The position is based in Aalborg, Denmark.

The Sales Support function has the responsibility to develop and optimize performance of services to customers continuously by supporting the sales companies (SC) in the respective region. The key area is supporting the respective SC to improve boiler repair sales by focusing on customer need.

You are natural driven by a flair for service and commerce and have a strong interest in creating rewarding relationships with both internal and external customers.

Your challenges and tasks
You will participate in a very efficient and flexible team where your main task will be technical support and sales regarding boilers repairs, replacement boilers/ heaters and upgrades for the pressure part for the boilers.

You will work with a wide span of tasks ranging from sales supporting the sales companies in generating repair business, planning, estimation, quoting, project handover, invoicing and documentation. You will have a significant impact on our performance.

Your main tasks will be:

  • Make active sales efforts and handling customers enquiry
  • Project orientated sale e.g. Boiler repairs, replacement boilers/ heaters and upgrades for the pressure part for the boilers.
  • Provide technical and commercial support to sales companies/ customers.
  • Coordinate for repair activities
  • Estimating and preparing quotes
  • Conduct internal training for our sales companies within the respective region
  • Participate in customer visits and negotiations whenever needed.
  • Participate in the departments work schedule
  • Ad hoc Projects

Your profile and competences
We are looking for a colleague with an engineering background – preferably from marine service industry with can do attitude and a real team player with 6-8 years’ experience in marine boiler repairs, with commercial exposure willing to travel and should be ready to go on board the vessels.

At a personal level your motivation and ability to analyse and achieve comprehensive and deep product knowledge is essential, combined with a well-organised approach to your tasks from beginning to end. You are outgoing, proactive and capable of handling many tasks and at the same time meet your deadlines.

Further, good written and verbal communication skills in English are essential, along with good understanding of Microsoft Office products.
