Product Manager within Automation and Digitalization

GEA is a world-leading process engineering group offering equipment and project solutions. The portfolio includes technologies relevant for the dairy, food, chemical and pharmaceutical industries, such as liquid processing, separation, concentration, spray drying and powder handling.

GEA is looking for a Product Manager to undertake our service product portfolio within automation and Data Management. This means working with all parts of our portfolio from initial idea to launch, sales support, feedback and update/further development of products. Furthermore, you need to support the development and product implementation of digital products and services.

Additionally, you will engage in implementation and sales support to Service Business Management and country service organizations.

He will encourage you to bring new ideas to the table and knows how to assembly a team that works. Anders is a leader, not a boss and you can expect him to understand the difference.

The job
As Product Manager, you bridge business and technology know-how and identify future profitable areas for Product Development within your designated area of responsibility. Not only do you maintain a thorough and in-depth understanding of the relevant technologies within Automation and Digitalization, as Product Manager you drive and implement service product strategy within Digital products and applications based on GEA Service?s strategic goals.

You are curious about new technologies and solutions and likes to drive development. Furthermore, you have good analytical skills and knowledge of digital/exponential business models, big data concepts and IoT. In your everyday workday, you drive and implementing service product strategy within Digital products and applications based on GEA Service?s strategic goals and aligned with colleagues in the Service Product Management team.

On a strategic level, you will engage with relevant teams of SPM (product or application related) as well as S-TEC and S-APC in order to exploit synergies, exchange ideas and information and create state of the art service products and solutions to GEA customers. You have a collaborative mindset and understand how to engage virtual international teams drawing relevant expertise into your projects across GEA and the customers? organization.

How we see the candidate and the basics
There are several ways that you can access the job interview. But we find that a degree in engineering, business administration or a combination plus solid work experience with automation and especially digital business models is a great start. You have extended work experience and have a good technical expertise and knowledge of Automation and Digitalization. We also see a candidate that have experience with solutions for the processing industry based on automation and digital solutions plus experience with Product management and innovation including the ability to translate trends and market information into ideas and actions.

The position is based in Soeborg, Copenhagen and some international travel is to be expected.
