Senior Structural Engineer, Oil & Gas and Offshore Wind Substructures, Copenhagen

Design and reassessment of offshore structures
As Senior Structural Engineer in our Jacket Team, you will be part of a dedicated team executing various projects within Oil and Gas and Wind Energy. Your tasks will consist of advanced global analyses, detailed local joint models as well as concept and design studies of Jacket structures. You will be working on multidiscipline projects with a global touch that interfaces against other disciplines such as topsides, foundations and hydrodynamics.

You will mainly be working on projects in the North Sea, with possibilities for international projects, and your tasks will include;

  • New design and concept studies of offshore structures (jackets and offshore wind substructures)
  • Structural analyses of reinforcements and reassessment of existing jacket structures
  • Manual calculation of structural details using MathCad, Excel, etc.
  • Preparation of design documentation (Design Reports, Installation Procedures, etc.)

We imagine that you have the following skills:

  • Master’s degree in structural, naval or mechanical engineering
  • Min. 3-5 years’ of experience as structural engineer, preferably from the offshore or wind industry and a couple of years’ experience with a leading role
  • Working experience with one or more of the following standards: ISO, API, NORSOK and DNV codes and standards
  • Skilled user of Microsoft Office programs Word and Excel, MathCad and preferably ANSYS, workbench and LS-DYNA MathLab experience
  • Experience with structural analysis software such as for example: ROSAP, SESAM, SACS, ANSYS, ABAQUS
  • Possess excellent oral and written English skills

Your new colleagues
Today, the Global Service Area for Jackets in Ramboll Oil and Gas counts more than 50 employees, with 10 engineers located in Copenhagen. The department is primarily working with jacket structures for both the Oil and Gas and the offshore wind industry. The department offers services within new substructure design, reassessment and service life extension, hazard (fire and explosion) engineering, noise and vibration engineering and Structural Health Monitoring Systems.
