Supplier Quality Engineer 

For our Headquarter in Hillerød, we are looking for a new Supplier Quality Engineer - a technical expert with experience in mechanical machining and manufacturing, who enjoys working on a practical level and interacting with people both in house and outside. The job
FOSS develops and produces state of the art analysis instruments for analysis of milk, meat, grain, wine and more. Our instruments combine sophisticated flow systems and mechanical features with state of the art electronics, optics and SW.

For the job as Supplier Quality Engineer you will be part of our Quality team, who continuously ensures the quality and performance in both the existing products and in new ones under development in R&D. You will be responsible for supporting Production with the quality issues that arise during daily work. And you will work in close cooperation with people in IQC to secure and improve the data measurements needed to solve the tasks.

The job includes to plan and execute the needed process improving visits at our local and global suppliers. Furthermore, you will be an active participant when there is a need for changing to a new supplier. This is done in close cooperation with Global Sourcing.

Primary tasks

• Solving supplier quality issues in Production and in close cooperation with our IQC department
• Support the Global Sourcing team with measuring and planning of improvements of quality, supplying and cost of existing and new FOSS suppliers
• Cooperate with our suppliers to develop and improve quality and production processes
• Be the technical expert internally and externally
• Execute suppliers assessments when needed

Qualifications
We are looking for a person with extensive experience within mechanics, primarily mechanical machining, sheet processing, plastic molding and aluminum casting. It will be considered an advantage if you have a degree within a technical area and practical experience in production. It is a plus if you have a background within Measurement techniques or Mechanical engineer. Experience from cooperations with suppliers in general and travelling in Asia and Eastern Europe will also be considered an advantage.

It is a prerequisite that you are comfortable speaking and writing English.
