We are looking for a new colleague with a technical background and a keen interest in production flow - someone who are able to link these. In short, we want someone at our side with a passion for working with support and technique in a vibrant production environment.

Have we caught your interest?
Then read on and apply for a great job in a company with a flexible working environment where innovation and quality are prioritised on equal terms with personal and professional welfare.

Your challenges
We are looking for a practical Production Support Technician who would like to take up this challenging position as link between our production, support functions and our VELUX Assembly Production Engineering organisation.

Your main responsibility will be to support our production in optimisation and implementation of new materials and technologies mainly in Europe.

Working cross-functionally with a team of dedicated colleagues, your other main tasks will be to:

  • Support projects within the assembly factories
  • Optimise daily production with focus on quality and cost
  • Support the knowledge sharing in between our factories primarily in Europe
  • Perform root cause analysis
  • Collaborate with potential machine and material suppliers

As you will be part of an international organisation, you will have the possibility to collaborate across our European factories. Some flexibility in regards to travel is required, approx. 20-40 days a year.

You will be part of our team Production Engineering Assembly with the overall responsibility to support the production area management in development and execution of the manufacturing strategy. We are developing optimal solutions according to agreed production area portfolio projects and tasks with a “hands on” approach.

Your qualifications
Most importantly is your practical and logical mind-set and your pragmatic approach to problem solving.
It is less important whether you are an educated engineer as long as you have a technical background. You could also have a craftsman related education with 3-5 years of experience. Knowledge about FMEA, Six Sigma, project management, A3 plans and Lean principles will definitely be a plus.

Competencies such as strong influential and collaboration skills are ‘a must’ including the ability to interact and align diverse stakeholders across business units. People often describe you as forthcoming by nature, with a good eye for people - a person who find it easy to talk to all types of people.

Besides being able to handle several projects at a time, while prioritising your efforts optimally, you thrive on working cross-functionally in a high-pressure environment. On a personal level, you are a team player, getting your energy from achieving goals, and you see yourself as an independent person with a strong drive. In addition, you are result-oriented always with a focus on how to create value for the business.

As you will engage with stakeholders throughout our organisation, you must be fluent in Danish and English, both orally and in writing - other European languages such as e.g. German would be a strong asset.

Your opportunities
This position gives you a unique opportunity to make your mark on the assembly factories in a global company as well as strengthen your technical knowledge.

You will be working in our international production engineering group. This will be from one of our assembly factories located in Østbirk (close to the E45 motorway and only 20 minutes’ drive from Horsens).

Our team is characterised by an informal tone and respect for each other. We are working as one team to achieve ambitious and long-term results, and we need your good spirit and commitment to meet our objectives.

The international setting is in our DNA and we believe in empowering people. We support this through sharing knowledge, delegating responsibility and investing in people who strive to make a difference.

The VELUX Group offers exciting challenges with competent and committed colleagues where commitment, thoroughness and mutual respect are among the core values.
