Global Sales Manager, Fresh Water Generators

Introduction

The BU Marine Separation and Heat Transfer Equipment supplies key components to the marine industry for any heating/cooling, separation/filtration duty, modules for fuel conditioning systems and fresh water generators. Demand for greener profiles, new fuels and legislation puts more focus on waste heat recovery and water production on-board ships. To secure a successful implementation of our ambitious strategy, we are now looking for a Global Sales Manager to strengthen our FWG team.

Responsibilities
Your focus will be to grow the desalination business for marine applications as well as land based engine power plants globally. You will lead and develop the FWG team that is supporting our customers and sales companies with key process and application know-how, pricing and strategic business decisions, globally.

You will work in close cooperation with the desalination product group team (WDG) representing the BU MSH in new and existing product development projects for the marine industry.

The marine market is a highly international business and you will work with shipyards, ship owners and operators, sales companies, and production sites all over the world as well as other Business Units and Product Groups in Alfa Laval.

Practicalities
You will be based in Soborg and the position involves travelling globally around 30-50 days/year.

Qualifications
We are looking for a candidate with a technical degree, bringing in knowledge and experience in business management from relevant industries, marine industry is a plus, and knowledge in thermal processes such as engine and steam power plants.

You are an outgoing person who likes to build relations and contribute to well working networks, while being able to set the direction and lead technical discussions with customers as well as to take an active role in execution of customer projects.

The person we are looking for must be confident in meetings with customers. Excellent communication skills are a must and you have to be fluent in English.
