For the Diagnostic Centre in the Service Wind Power headquarter in Brande, we are looking for a talented R&D Engineer to test new high frequency vibration sensor technologies for monitoring main bearings of our fleet of wind turbines and analyze the resulting data. The Diagnostic Centre is overall responsible for monitoring and diagnostics of our wind turbines worldwide and provides industry leading remote diagnostic services by utilizing cutting-edge technology. As R&D Engineer, you will take part in a project team with the goal to test and verify feasibility of different sensor solutions and finally develop a service product based on the technical solution.

What are my responsibilities?
As R&D Engineer you will be responsible for testing various sensor solutions on test rigs and in test turbines. You will be involved in the feasibility studies of the tested sensor solutions and development of diagnostic models and you will be responsible for operating test rigs as well as tests in turbines.

The tasks will be a mix of making design specifications, installation of tests and finally advanced analysis of the measured data.
In the project you will team up with some of our senior experts from both the service organization and the R&D organization.

You will be the signal processing expert for the project that shall take care of all testing of sensors and analysis of data from both test rigs and site tests.

What do I need to qualify for this job?

  • You hold a Master’s degree within Mechanical Engineering or equivalent and possess experience within project execution and feasibility studies of technical solutions either from earlier work or from academia.
  • You have experience with mechanics and dynamics of rotating machinery.
  • You possess programming skills in Python, LabVIEW and SQL or similar tools.
  • You have an analytical and innovative mindset.
  • As a person you always seek to improve existing technologies and invent/develop/apply new technologies.
  • You are highly results-oriented and able to work autonomously as well as part of a team.
  • It comes naturally to you to build and maintain good and rewarding relationships.
  • Furthermore, you possess excellent English skills, both orally and in writing.
