We are looking for a strong supply chain professional who has been working in logistics for a few years, and would like to work with complex logistic development cases creating sustainable and valuable growth for the VELUX organisation driving projects, tasks and smaller projects.

You will be one of the central global expertise holders and will drive continuous improvements across the global supply chain teams in the business. This is the rare opportunity to join a team in VELUX Logistics under constant development - a team that strives to work closely and effectively with stakeholders ensuring the strategic goals of the organisation.

Your challenges
You will be a part of a team managing global logistic projects and tasks such as design of the Supply Chain, integration of Customers or Service providers, optimise the distribution center processes and distribution set-up on new markets.

You will play an integral role in establishing best practice and project management methods to raise the bar. You will communicate and engage with stakeholders on all levels to ensure the necessary support and attention to carry out your tasks and change projects.

Other tasks could be:

  • Facilitate meetings and workshops e.g. regarding Value Stream Mapping and Practical Problem Solving
  • Prepare in-depth analysis of specific parts in the value chain
  • System implementation and align processes with our ERP system

The tasks will give you a broad international interface, and will feature a significant coordination between different parts of the organisation on all levels. You will travel 10-20 days a year.

Your qualifications
You bring to the position a relevant master’s degree in Business Administration or Engineering and you combine your theoretical background with a few years of relevant work experience in larger organisations.

Besides being skilled within logistics and supply chain, your experience could include working with some of the aspects within project management. You will typically have experience from a similar position as specialist, consultant or as a recent internal graduate in different parts of Logistics. You could also have experience with performance improvement techniques like Lean or Six Sigma.

You have excellent communication skills, a high proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, ERP systems (preferably SAP) and other relevant tools. The role also requires you to be fully proficient in English.

On a more personal level, you organise and manage your tasks with considerable initiative and you consider yourself as enterprising and a quick learner. You are curious, take responsibility for the tasks and are organised and structured. Besides being open minded, you are also persistent, diplomatic and positive.

Your opportunities
In addition to operate at a high professional level, the team is characterised by an informal tone and a healthy sense of humor. We work as one team to reach our ambitious results, and you will be a vital part in influencing our future logistic set-up.

To develop your personal and professional competencies you will be offered relevant courses and challenging tasks. We believe in empowering people, and we support this through sharing knowledge, delegating responsibility and investing in people who strive to make a difference.
