SVM in Silkeborg is looking for two experienced Software Teamleaders to lead our designers in the development of software for high-tech customized machinery. We are busy delivering premium machines to our pharmaceutical customers, and therefore we are looking for, not only one, but two software Teamleaders to join our highly skilled engineering team. Become part of SVM, and use your technical experience and your project management skills to contribute to the continued growth of SVM Automatik as the leading supplier of customised machinery to the world.

Put your skills into play
With reference to the Engineering Manager, you will join a team of approximately 30 skilled people, where approximately 10 are specialists who develop software for high-tech special machines and automation equipment with a focus on PLC, HMI, servo and robotic programming. Your role is, partly, to be Software Teamleader performing the coordination and having the responsibility of the software developers working on different projects, and partly, to deep-dive as hands-on developer yourself, programming and developing software for one or more projects. As Software Teamleader, you will be in charge of:

  • Design Specifications
  • PLC and HMI programming - typical Siemens and Allan Bradley
  • Robot programming - typically Denso and Kuka
  • Servo programming
  • Preparation of documentation - typically GAMP5 pharmaceutical industry
  • FAT and SAT testing

General assistance and support services to the end-customer in both tendering and implementation of solutions

Since you will be included in the commissioning of machines at the customers' factories, you should expect approximately 15-20 travel days per year.

Software wizz with project team experience
You have a relevant educational background i.e. as an electrical or software engineer, within production technology or similar, and you have a strong experience in automation, PLC, HMI, Robot and servo systems. You thrive working with the interface between technical disciplines such as software, mechanics and hardware, and you find it highly motivating to deliver customised machinery to premium customers. You have practical experience working in or leading smaller project teams, and project management experience is only an advantage. You are familiar with the Stage-Gate model and with KPIs of a long-term project, and you have performed project planning and coordination, previously. You are excellent in both spoken and written English.

As a person, you take initiative and you are able to work independently and in a structured manner that leaves time for both guiding the team and working directly as a software programming contributor. You have a qualitative mindset and you work persistently to achieve the results. You are robust and open-minded, and you find it easy to work with people from all levels of the organization. You are intrigued to deliver high-end projects to the pharmaceutical industry all over the world and ready to take on a challenge in a unique growth company which will give you plenty of responsibility and opportunity for personal development.
