Your challenges
We are looking for a new team player who can help us develop new ideas and concepts primarily for our mechanical products/accessories.
Your other tasks will be to:
- Participate with ideation and creativity in the early phases of window and accessories development projects
- Contribute with your mechanical/mechatronic knowledge in software and electronic concepts
- To lead projects through our Front End Process
- Prepare for and participate in different ideation workshops and internal fairs, and present new concepts to decision committees.
You will be part of a dedicated team of 20 colleagues located on three Danish VELUX locations in Skjern, Østbirk (close to Horsens) and in Hørsholm. We often meet for idea generation events on the different locations, so it is important that you are flexible and have the possibility to travel between the locations. Travel activities to fairs and external partners will also occur.
In close collaboration with our proto type tool shop, we give you the opportunity to work with our exciting facilities such as 3D printing, injection moulding machine, water jet cutting CNC-Milling etc.
Your qualifications
You have solid technical knowledge and preferably an education within industrial design or engineering including 5+ years of experience from a similar job within mechanical/mechatronic products. If you can tick off several of the competencies below, you will fit with the job profile:
- Knowledge within mechanical or mechatronic design industry
- Knowledge about user involvement and how to design towards users
- Project management and strong ability to manage own tasks
- Experience with CAD design (We use Solid Works)
To identify market and customer needs, you will have a close dialogue with colleagues from the market organisation and sub departments. You will also be in close contact with the technology organisation and broadly within product development. Therefore, your strong point is your excellent ability to collaborate cross-functionally and to involve the right people at the right time.
As a person you have an open and forthcoming manner and you thrive on working in teams with different people. In addition, you are a creative out of the box thinker full of a lot of ideas with a ‘can do’ attitude. Fluency in English both orally and in writing is a must.
