Would you like to work within the exciting world of electronics as part of a project management office in a global environment where you will be able to develop your skills and expertise continuously in order to meet and exceed customer expectations? Are you willing and capable of finding solutions between multiple and sometimes conflicting interests? Then you could be the project manager we are looking for in Danfoss’ Electronic Components Business Unit to lead new product development projects for highly engineered electrical and electro-mechanical products for the off-road market.

Make your mark in leading the organisation to excellence
You will have a post in the EC New Product Development team in Nordborg, Denmark, as a member of the global project management office. You will bring positive energy and the ability to lead in a matrix organisation, and in return, you will be given the opportunity to develop, both personally and professionally. You will work in a global, still young and rapidly developing organisation, and your main responsibilities will include:

  • Planning and managing the progression of key projects through the development and launch process, ensuring timeliness, cost and quality;
  • Providing expert project management knowledge and support to project teams and facilitating the overcoming of obstacles to achieve the successful launch of products;
  • Leading global, cross-functional teams within a diverse range of functional areas, including sales and marketing, product management, engineering, quality, customers, supply chain management and operations;
  • Coordinating the analysis of scope changes to the schedule and budget and ensuring implementation with consistent design integrity; and
  • Effectively communicating to the direct supervisor, corporate management and customers on the project’s status. 

Outstanding communications skills and the ability to influence and lead in a matrix organisation
To be a success in this position you need a solid understanding of the broad aspects of the business and the ability to anticipate problem areas in advance, but most of all, you need highly developed networking capabilities. You use your global cultural awareness and openness to maintain cooperative and productive working relationships and communication with all of the employees, participating effectively as a team facilitator. You feel comfortable at all levels in the organisation, also when effectively presenting information to top management, public groups and/or the board of directors.
 
Experienced project manager with ambition and stamina
You hold a Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science or agricultural engineering, and some years of related experience or training in both traditional and agile project management processes. You are familiar with control systems for off-highway (agriculture or construction) equipment, including real-time embedded software, and PMI PMP certification is strongly desired. You have a proven innovation record, taking products from concept to launch, and experience with structured product development processes, including tools such as Stage-Gate, FMEA, PPAP, Design Reviews, etc. On a more personal level, you respond positively and support changes in procedures, process, technology, responsibility and assignments. You are highly motivated and self-driven, and you feel comfortable to work with minimal supervision. You demonstrate personal flexibility in both approach and ideas, and finally, you are fluent in English, both verbally and in writing.
