Then you could be the Mechanical Design Engineer we are looking for at Danfoss High Pressure Pumps (HPP).
 
Amongst our key products are pumps used in equipment for reverse osmosis, dust and fire suppression, humidification and gas turbines. We are more than 100 visionary and innovative colleagues, who develop system- and component solutions based on high pressure hydraulic pumps and valves, and you will be positioned in R&D. Revolutionary R&D in an innovative environment
As Mechanical Design Engineer at HPP you will be involved in a wide variety of tasks. This includes conceptual work, draft of possible design solutions, detailed design, theoretical calculations as well as preparation and test of prototypes, i.e. everything that belongs to product development. You will be engineering new product variants and customer adaptations, and you will pay attention to not losing focus on cost effective solutions.

Other key responsibilities will be:

• Participation in product development projects
• Design and test of mechanical components and parts in accordance with international standards and regulations
• Contribute to maintenance of existing products
• Preparation of product requirement sheets based on customer input
• Conduct failure and root cause analyses
• Document the designs and results to support knowledge build up and secure required document control 

Focus on both technical- and personal skills
You have a bachelor’s or master’s degree in mechanical engineering and knowledge of mechanical design, preferably in fluid mechanic products (hydraulic design). You have practical experience as a design engineer involved in development projects - preferably in relation to pumps or similar. You are familiar with SAP and 3D CAD tools, and you know how to use FEM programmes. You are experienced with full cycle product development and are motivated by working in a development team that appreciates initiative and innovation. You will have many contacts both across the organisation and to suppliers/customers Therefore, you need to be openminded with a positive attitude and a cross-functional mindset. Moreover, you are proficient in written and spoken English.
