We are looking for 3 electrical engineering trainees to join the Soeborg section - Automation and Technical Commissioning department. Our department is responsible for delivering electrical equipment, instrumentation and process control systems to our customers. The department has six primary fields of activity; tendering, hardware design, software development, project engineering, project management and process control commissioning. We work closely together with other divisions that are responsible for drying technology; fluid bed, spray and freeze-drying of food, dairy, pharmaceutical and chemical products.

In Soeborg we are 16 engineers, and we are part of a larger department of a total of ~60 specialists located in Denmark, Germany, Russia, Ireland and UK. We offer an international work environment with good opportunities for personal and professional development.

Job profile
The trainee program spans a 2 year period where you will learn all the ins and outs of being a process control engineer. Depending on your existing qualifications and professional wishes, you will be trained in the following areas:

Automation systems programming . You will learn how to program PLCs to meet the requirements of the drying process and the customer. You will learn how to program user friendly human machine interfaces that enables smooth operation of complete process plants. The main platforms will be Siemens and Allen-Bradley Electrical panel design. You will learn how to specify and design electrical control panels. The main engineering tool you will be working in is EPLAN. You will also be introduced to European and International electrical standards that are key to designing safe and reliable electrical systems Commissioning .

You will participate in testing and commissioning of drying plants together with senior engineers. The commission activities may take you to any part of the world. You should count on about 50 days of travel per year. Instrumentation. You will learn to navigate the vast number of brands and types of process instruments used to measure temperature, pressure, flow, etc. You will learn how to extract the right information and requirements to specify and purchase the right instrument for the right task.

Parallel to the technical training areas, you will also receive training in project management and GEAs project model. After the 2 year training period, we expect that you will be fully qualified to manage automation projects from sales hand-over to final customer approval.

Personal profile
Our environment is fast-paced with multiple tasks to manage simultaneously, which requires that you work in a structured manner and are able to prioritise. You are attentive to details and you readily take responsibility for your tasks. You possess professional integrity and follow through on your tasks to a high standard without losing sight of the goal. You enjoy working in a team, and you communicate fluently in Danish and English. It is a plus if you master a third language.

Regarding your personal qualifications, you hold an electrical engineering degree or other relevant electrical or automation education plus you have experience with programming languages like PLC. A benefit would be if you have knowledge of the properties and behaviour of thermodynamic and pneumatic processes. Furthermore, you are able to communicate and motivate via written media.
