Process Management Department Manager

For our Process Management department at our culture plant in Avedøre near Copenhagen we are looking for a Process Management Manager with a strong leadership profile and solid knowledge and experience with unit operations within the biotechnology industry.   

Process Management is a unit of 10 ambitious and dedicated employees with academic backgrounds. We deliver technical support to our four internal production units as well as a number of external subcontractors. Some of the responsibilities include driving, facilitating and supporting activities within product quality, production cost and delivery reliability. Our daily work covers a wide range of production support activities such as development of production recipes, process design, production follow-up and optimization, process ownership within investment projects, troubleshooting, process control and validation. 
 
Your tasks 

• You will be responsible for the department's staff and budget and ensure that the department / staff thrive and develop in accordance with the agreed strategy and annual plans 
• You build and manage a project portfolio with a focus on optimization 
• You ensure coordination of projects and tasks at the factory in which process management are involved  
• You provide reporting and follow-up of the factory's KPI's and department's project portfolio  
• Together with the rest of the management team and stakeholders you work continuously to further develop our management systems in order to control and improve process execution and quality levels at the production site 
• You take the group to the next level of performance management and systematic problem solving applying strong lean elements 
• You will be part of our global process management organisation to represent site Copenhagen. 

 
Your personal profile 

• We expect you to hold a relevant academic education, e.g. dairy- or chemical engineer, pharmacist, MSc. in Food Science and Technology or the like 
• You have at least 5 years of experience managing a production support department or team 
• You have a good knowledge within GMP in production and biotechnology 
• You have experience and obtained proven results with cross-organizational project management and portfolio management 
• You like to work with ambitious people and to develop professional and personal skills in your team, you set a clear direction and ensure clear roles and responsibilities and you hold strong change management skills 
• You have experience with implementation of LEAN tools and process optimization in production 
• You  have an analytical mind-set and preferably experience with six sigma methodology or/and systematic problem solving 
• You are a strong networker 
• You are trusted and perceived as a good sounding board and advisor 
• Excellent English skills, written as well as spoken
