Quality Engineer / Qualification Specialist

Can you take us to a new level within qualification?
If you have knowledge in the intersection of mechanical engineering, GMP regulated production and qualification you now have the opportunity for a very exciting job. You will join a highly skilled team responsible for implementation of new equipment and processes across the global Chr. Hansen organization. You can look forward to joining a very successful, global company. We are world leading within our fields of expertise and we have innovation as a part of our DNA.

Qualification expert in projects and creator of new framework
You will become our new expert within qualification and be the main driver in taking this very important area to a new level - in close collaboration with your colleagues in the Quality department. As such, you will be the connecting link between our users/clients, our suppliers and your colleagues in QA.

You will work two tracks. One track is related to Global Engineering projects where you will be responsible for qualification of production equipment and facilities. The other track is related to the building of qualification and GMP competencies in general. In this, you will work closely together with your Quality colleagues to create a new framework of procedures, templates etc. and to optimize our existing Standard Engineering Document Package. More specifically your tasks will be to:

  • Act as Qualification Expert in global engineering projects - implementation of new equipment
  • Define a new framework for procedures and processes - in close collaboration with the Quality department
  • Evaluate qualification documents etc. from external suppliers - ensure the required quality
  • Ensure ongoing review and optimization of our Standard Engineering Document Package
  • Ensure systematic registration of defects on equipment
  • Train engineering staff in quality/qualification aspects
  • Write qualification documentation

You will be in contact with multiple people covering project management and technical teams in Global Engineering, Quality departments, EHS, production chemists, external consultants etc. Related to this, you can look forward to travel up to 25 days per year - typically trips lasting for 2-4 days each. You will be based at our Avedøre site in the Copenhagen area but you can expect to be located at our sites in Roskilde and Hørsholm while participating in projects.

Mechanical engineering knowledge and experience from food or pharma production
You hold a degree in mechanical engineering or similar backed by +3 years’ experience from food or pharma production where you have gained knowledge within regulations and GMP. This includes several years’ experience from working with validation and qualification life cycle as well as hygienic/aseptic mechanical design, preferably (EHEDG). In addition, you have solid knowledge of quality principles (e.g. V-model, CV & PQ) and the ability to utilize these methods in a manufacturing environment providing qualification documentation.

On the personal level, you must be outgoing and thrive on building strong relations to numerous people. This also takes very good communication skills including the ability to explain complex stuff in an easy understandable way, in Danish and English written and spoken. Via your project experience you know how to motivate colleagues - who doesn’t refer to you - to support your agenda. Related to this you know when to compromise and when to stand fast.

Global Process Technology - your new department
You will join a small and agile team of 5 skilled and dedicated colleagues working across the global Chr. Hansen organization. We work with many exciting projects in a very dynamic environment where we can see and feel the results of our work. Even though we are busy, we always have time to help and share knowledge. We work as a team, we win as a team and we celebrate as a team.
