Local Unit & Position Description
Section OEEDK780 is part of DNV GL Oil & Gas Denmark with approximately 90 individuals, and responsible for all component verification activities with main focus on safety, integrity, regulatory compliance and project management of both in-service and development projects within Oil & Gas Denmark focusing both on the Danish offshore sector as well as on providing support to international projects under the responsibility as professional centre in Region Continental Europe, North and East Africa. The section has a staff of some 20 persons at present.

Our key customers comprise e.g. Maersk Oil, DONG, Hess and Wintershall as well as various vendors, drilling, supply and service companies. The section also undertakes verification activities outside the above, frequently in cooperation with other units in DNV GL.

Major Duties
We are looking for an experienced multi discipline engineer to join our dedicated team responsible for review, verification and survey of various types of equipment and components for mainly Oil & Gas, however various cross-segment work to Energy and Maritime will happen. This work is by nature multi-disciplinary with significant interaction to our other discipline groups addressing the various systems and functions that ensures the safety and integrity of the e.g. equipment; hence a strong ability to handle detailed issues across many disciplines is required. Main focus in the position will however be safety with systems, equipment and components.

You will be participating in and/or managing multi-discipline verification projects with a focus on team work and close interaction with our clients. The position will include a large variety of projects and offers great opportunity for personal and professional development.

We are also looking for a candidate who has the ability and drive to help shape and develop the lifting appliance team growing further in our market and who demonstrates an attitude to service and develop relationships with key clients.

The position will include several work tasks incl.:

  • Project management of minor to large size projects
  • Possible participation in periodical surveys on offshore installations (in-service & new-build)
  • Participation in client meetings
  • Implementation of the Offshore Safety Directive (OSD) into the Danish industry
  • Leading/performing review of equipment and component design documents and procedures for also handling their later integration in systems
  • Performing survey during manufacturing as applicable
  • Participate in FAT, SAT and OAT
  • Verification of Safety and Environmental Critical Elements
  • Review of system, equipment and component performance

We furthermore expect the successful candidate to take an active part in keeping the section updated with the necessary knowledge and competence.

Position Qualifications
We are looking for a candidate with an relevant engineering degree on bachelor level or higher and with solid experience within:

  • Safety aspects in connection with offshore
  • Safety systems in relation to modules, skids, equipment and components also including their integration in systems
  • Design, functional requirements and various engineering tasks
  • On and offshore general survey
  • Speak Danish fluently and are able to read and write Danish in order to handle local vendor or owner procedures and documents
  • Market place needs and associated sales experience

You are used to work with national and international standards, e.g. EN, ISO, API, NORSOK etc., and Danish legislation (e.g. Danish Offshore Safety Act and underlying executive orders).
