DevOps Engineer for Azure Platform with Scrum Master and development skills

Our client Printix is expanding and we are looking for a DevOps engineer, an important position in the team, as you will help them to move to the Azure platform as well as improving the vital DevOps processes. Printix develops Cloud Print Management Software and since their start in 2014, they have already come a long way going global.

So if you are an expert in the Azure cloud platform, and wish to improve development processes, this could be the right move for you...

Key accountabilities and activities
Your first assignment will be to take responsibility migrating the solution from AWS to Azure. Printix has developed a close partnership with Microsoft. You will of course work closely with the other backend developers to make this transformation happen.

Your DevOps focus will be auto-scaling the Azure infrastructure and automate operations. You will also be responsible for optimizing the Continuous Integration processes, and inspire the team with the DevOps way and mindset.

This will go hand-in-hand with you taking on the Scrum Master role for the team of seven skilled developers - and the team will become larger as Printix grows.

Furthermore, if you would like to keep your coding sharp it will be possible for you to contribute to the .Net based Desktop client. If your expertise is more on Java development, there are many server-side Microservices where a few might catch your interest.

Professional skills

• You have some experience with the Azure platform - and you are keen on becoming an expert
• You consider 99.99% uptime is a fun challenge
•  You are skilled in Linux - the backend is based on Java and Linux
• You have development skills in either .Net or Java 
• You are used to working in an environment with Continuous delivery and integrations - and make sure this happens 
• It is an advantage if you have worked with different Cloud set-ups and SaaS in particular
• It is equally an advantage if you have worked with Cassandra, Docker Image, Kubernetes, Kafka, ZooKeeper and MongoDB

Personal qualities
Printix expects you to be passionate about SCRUM and the DevOps role. We are looking for a pragmatic, yet structured DevOps who is a skilled communicator and enjoys working closely with other people. The art of team work is crucial to this position.

It is important that you are good at organizing and prioritizing your work. It is an advantage if you are interested in creating and developing things and enjoy seeing the result of your work. You must also be eager to learn and curious regarding new technologies.
