We are looking for an experienced Technical Manager for our EMC 2 stroke department of MAN PrimeServ in Copenhagen. We are the world leader on diesel engine technology, -knowledge and maintenance and as our new Technical Manager you will develop yourself both professionally and personally. You will be part of a team consisting of 20 dedicated colleagues in a truly international business environment.

In this position you will amongst others things be responsible for the correspondence with customers, own organization and sub-suppliers. You will support our EMC superintendents in technical aspects of products and sales processes etc.

MAN|PrimeServ is a strong aftersales and service business organization with an informal atmosphere, where focus is on customers and performance. When being part of the MAN|PrimeServ team you will be servicing international customers mainly within the marine industry. The aftersales organization is supported by more than 100 service hubs worldwide and we aim to be the preferred service partner, building up long-term relations with our customers.

We are busy and the position requires that you can work independently and at the same time maintaining a strong sense of community. You will be working with people from many cultures and from all over the world.

Key responsibilities

  • Planning of upcoming attendances onboard the vessels according to jobs due in the maintenance plan and local job list
  • Correspondence with customers, own organization and sub-suppliers
  • Management of EMC superintendents in Qatar and planning with regards to spares and stock in Qatar.
  • Ensuring good customer service
  • Continuous work on developing and optimizing service attendances
  • Always maintaining a business mind-set.
  • Root cause analysis of technical issues for 2 Stroke engines with fleet solutions to follow
  • Ensuring that the attending superintendent engineers have the skills for upcoming jobs

Qualifications

  • The ideal candidate has a technical background as a Mechanical Engineer, Marine Engineer or similar.
  • Experience with technical projects/products, preferably from an international company
  • It is considered a clear advantage if you have experience with Diesel Engines and/or knowledge of engine performance
  • You thrive in a busy working environment and support knowledge sharing as a key to success
  • You see the benefits in being part of a team and have the approach and ability to interact at all levels in a dynamic organization
  • You are open minded and have a structured and quality-oriented approach to your assignments
  • You must have excellent English skills both verbally and written
  • Travelling for a period to our setup in Qatar to be expected.
