System Engineer for Optics

For our Product Engineering team in Research & Development we are looking for a System Engineer with specialty in Optics to work on maintenance and continuous improvement of our existing products, and in particular their measuring performance.

The job
As a System Engineer your main responsibility will be to understand and focus on the measuring performance of the Analytical instruments in our product portfolio. Although the main focus will be on optics, we work with a wide range of technologies such as NIR spectroscopy, IR, X-ray and Flow Cytometry and it is important that you become the expert in supporting these.

Tasks are typically driven as smaller focused projects together with the Product Engineering team or with specialists if needed. You will be expected to coordinate with external suppliers as well as our own Production. Some travel may be required.

Qualifications
The preferred candidate holds a Master’s degree in Engineering, ideally Optics or Electronics. It is a requirement that you have a Danish work permit to apply for the job and it is considered an advantage to write and speak Danish.

Personal skills
The preferred candidate has a structured approach and enjoys complex problem solving. You are not afraid to take on challenging tasks under time pressure if there is a customer waiting or if our production is needing a fast solution. You have great coordination skills and a keen interest in project management.

Good communication skills are essential to be successful in the job. You are open and trustworthy, and have the ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
