Cognitive Science Researcher/Engineer - to T&W Engineering

Your challenges  
T&W Engineering is looking for an experienced new colleague with an academic degree in engineering/audiology to join our R&D team. You will articipate in a research project in Cognitive Science with several external partners. Hence a substantial part of the work will take place outside the Widex headquarter. The research project covers selected topics within the application of audiology and bioelectrical signals to hearing aids.  
 
In this project, your tasks will be related to:  

  • Inventing signal processing solutions based on bioelectrical signals which integrate psychoacoustics for future hearing solutions.  
  • Experimental evaluation of the proposed solutions.  
  • Specification and implementation of algorithms  

Your background and personal profile  
You have at least 5 years of work experience and/or a Ph. D. degree and are qualified in several of the following areas:  

  • Psychoacoustics and physiology of the auditory system.  
  • Cognitive Science, neurophysiological processes and applied electrophysiology (preferably EEG).  
  • Algorithm design and signal processing applied to EEG/audio signals  
  • Adaptive systems and stochastic signal processing.  
  • Data analysis, parameter estimation and optimization.  
  • Matlab and C/C++ programming.  

You should find your motivation and passion in innovation and problem solving. Furthermore, you have an analytical mindset and are self-motivated and persistent in carrying out your tasks. You can expect to become part of a team covering many technology fields. It is therefore a great advantage to enjoy team work. We are a global company, and expect you to be fluent in written and spoken English. Widex has a bilingual working environment, with both Danish and English. Skills in Danish are not a requirement.
