Project Quality Manager delivering on the quality ambition for our offshore wind farms

Would you like to lead the quality journey of one of our project lines defining the quality requirements for our future offshore wind farms?

Join us and become Project Quality Manager in the Project Quality department where you will be overall responsible for defining and implementing the quality management system of one of our product lines working closely together with your colleagues. You will become part of a team of project quality managers focused on improving the quality of our product lines to support projects during development and execution. As Project Quality Manager, you will be assigned to one of our product lines supporting the Product Line Director and Module Group Owners in defining and implementing initiatives that will provide step change improvements to quality and substantial reductions in cost of poor quality.

Wind Power Quality Management is part of Wind Power which has 1800 employees and is one of four business units in DONG Energy. Wind Power is the world’s largest developer and operator of offshore wind power, and we use our unique knowledge in all phases of our wind farm projects. During the last 20 years, we have developed and constructed the largest portfolio of offshore wind farms in Northern Europe, and we are expanding with international activities in the US and Asia-Pacific.

You may choose freely to be based either at our office in Skærbæk near Fredericia or in Gentofte in the Greater Copenhagen area. However, you should expect some travelling in relation to your work.

Your key tasks will be to

  • define the overall quality ambition for the product line in close cooperation with your stakeholders
  • identify risks and plan quality assurance and quality control activities accordingly
  • be the ambassador and authority on quality, educating your colleagues on everything quality-related for example ’on the job training’
  • facilitate workshops aimed at identifying risks and critical interfaces
  • participate in or lead quality improvement projects.

In addition, you will contribute to the further detailing of the role and responsibility of the Product Line Project Quality Manager function as we develop and mature quality management in Wind Power.

Your qualifications and core competences include that you

  • have a master's degree or similar within a relevant engineering discipline
  • have extensive experience as Quality Manager, including developing and establishing a quality management system
  • have successfully driven changes by implementing quality management in projects
  • speak and write English fluently
  • have good communication and negotiation skills
  • thrive in an international environment and are able to create good relationships with your stakeholders.

As this position requires hands-on quality support of your colleagues, it is important that you have a solid and proven toolbox of quality tools and methodologies, and that you are willing to share these. We apply Six Sigma DMAIC for our major improvement projects, so experience from Six Sigma projects is an advantage.

We offer
A unique and challenging job where you have every opportunity to develop your skills, when you drive the quality transformation of our product lines. You will play a key role in setting the quality direction and ambition for the product line and for Wind Power in general.

In DONG Energy Wind Power, we have a high level of expertise and many complex and challenging work tasks. We work goal-oriented and efficiently with some of the world's largest offshore wind projects, and we are committed to reducing the cost of electricity.
