You may be the Wind & Site Engineer we are looking for. Join our motivated and high-performing global Wind & Site team in Madrid and embark on an exciting journey towards developing Suzlon’s future wind solutions.

Your Responsibilities
The main areas of responsibility include:

• Evaluate information and data provided by Sales and Project Development and translate measured wind conditions to wind resource and site characteristics to generate input conditions to mechanical load assessments
• Develop wind turbine site layouts and optimize turbine configurations based on conformance with standards, power production, and construction considerations in order to drive down LCOE and minimizing loads
• Assess turbine suitability based on loads assessments. Perform and verify load calculations to determine the suitability of a turbine for a given project
• Prepare energy yield assessment reports and site specific turbine suitability reports
• Close interaction with the Sales team providing suitability reports of sales leads
• Perform deep studies in critical/non- standard projects
• Participate in W&S R&D projects and develop in-house tools for W&S
• Assist in training global W&S Team
• Be updated on international standards and state of the art of WRA and Loads

Your Profile
You are an engineer holding a Masters degree in mechanical, civil or industrial or equivalent and have three to five years of experience from the wind industry or related industries. You have at least two years of experience in wind resource assessment and loads assessment for site suitability of wind turbines.
Furthermore, you have working knowledge in programming and coding.

Your functional skills include:

• Advanced working knowledge in wind flow modeling applications like WAsP, WindPro, WAsP Engineering, Open Wind (or equivalent wind flow modeling)
• Hands on working knowledge and experience in an aero-elastic model for loads like Flex5 or equivalent
• Experience with IEC standards for wind turbine design
• Proficiency with coding using VBA, MATLAB, R, SQL, LaTeX, Python, HTML

You possess strong communication skills including a high level of oral and written English, and are able to communicate complex data in a simple manner. You have a high level of analytical skills. As a person you are self-driven and result-oriented with the ability to prioritize and deliver high-quality results. You are a team player and thrive in a dynamic and multicultural environment.
