You may be the Wind & Site Engineer we are looking for. Join our motivated and high-performing global Wind & Site team in Madrid and embark on an exciting journey towards developing Suzlon’s future wind solutions.

Your responsibilities
The main areas of responsibility include:

  • Evaluate information and data provided by Sales and Project Development and translate measured wind conditions to wind resource and site characteristics
  • Develop wind turbine site layouts and optimize turbine configurations based on conformance with standards, power production and construction considerations in order to drive down LCOE
  • Prepare Energy Yield Assessment reports
  • Prepare Power Performance Assessments, post-construction assessments and SCADA based analysis
  • Conduct and oversee power curve testing according to IEC/M EASNET Standards
  • Close interaction with the O&M team providing support on performance aspects
  • Perform deep studies in critical/non- standard projects
  • Participate in W&S R&D projects and develop in-house tools for W&S
  • Assist in training of the global W&S Team
  • Be updated on international standards and state of the art of WRA and operational performance of wind turbines

Your profile
You are an engineer holding a Masters degree in electrical, mechanical or equivalent and have three to five years of experience from the wind industry or related industries. You have at least two years of experience in wind resource assessment and in performance assessment of operational windfarms.
Furthermore, you have working knowledge in programming and coding.

Your functional skills include:

  • Working knowledge in wind flow modeling applications like WAsP, WindPro, WAsP Engineering, Open Wind (or equivalent wind flow modeling) 
  • Good understanding of turbine control systems
  • Working with SCADA data for performance assessment
  • Good understanding of IEC/MEASNET standards relevant to power performance measurements
  • Proficiency with coding using VBA, MATLAB, R, SQL, LaTeX, Python, HTML

You possess strong communication skills including a high level of oral and written English, and are able to communicate complex data in a simple manner. You have a high level of analytical skills. As a person you
are self-driven and result-oriented with the ability to prioritize and deliver high-quality results. You are a team player and thrive in a dynamic and multicultural environment.
