The job
We are just about to renew our world leading software solution for Central Milk Testing, a solid and recognized software platform. Nevertheless, the platform needs an upgrade to match current technologies, have a modern look and feel, be prepared for continuous delivery, use of common component and extended test automation and provide an efficient development environment.

Therefore, FOSS is looking for a talented programmer and architect to improve our current PC SW Platform for Central Milk Testing - making it ready for the future. You will join a small but essential project team within our R&D Software Department with more than 100 Software Development experts, organized in scrum development teams in Denmark and abroad.

The most important tasks are:

  • Drive and coordinate the development of our future CMT solution
  • Design and program software
  • Share your C#/.NET and WPF knowledge with the team

You will also work with new features and improvements as well as identifying and fixing reported bugs/errors. Making software for advanced and complex measuring instruments that involves many technologies and cross functional development teams is a challenge, but also very motivating and rewarding.

Qualifications
We expect you to hold a minimum of 5 years’ experience in application development in C#, together with solid experience with .NET and WPF, MS Visual Studio, TFS and SQL. The ideal candidate also has profound experience with C++ and MFC. The present application is written in C++ and the code base is significant, so the ability to analyze and understand other people's code is essential. You must be fluent in Danish and English both in reading and writing.

Additionally, you hold strong communication skills and you have the ability to build strong relationships with others.

FOSS R&D counts 190 highly skilled engineers and mathematicians - many at PhD level - occupied with developing applications for the food and agricultural industries. R&D Software is organised in functional units allocated to Online Services, PC Software and Embedded Systems. We apply the latest and greatest tools based on C#, C++ and HTML5/JS to develop state of the art online enabled and accessible applications and services. FOSS R&D Software occupies 70 software professionals in development, test and product ownership. Additionally, FOSS has 30 professionals working for our outsourcing partner in Saint Petersburg.
