Are you curious about data and how they are modelled to support the business? Can you convert business needs for data-enabled processes and reporting to user friendly tools and solutions? Do you see yourself supporting cross-functional data and IT projects with different stakeholders within the organisation?

Then you are the candidate for our vacant position in Clinical Supplies Business and IT Support (CSBITS).

As our new system expert in CSBITS you will maintain existing tools and support the development of our IT system landscape in Chemistry, Manufacturing and Control (CMC) Clinical Supplies (CS). You will be the key person in understanding data and systems for the clinical supply chain.

About the Department
CMC CS is responsible for filling, planning, packing and delivering supplies for the clinical trials in Novo Nordisk. CSBITS is a department of 16 colleagues who work across CS. We carry out strategic projects and analyses that aim at increasing the efficiency of the clinical supply chain. We work analytically and data based and support CS Management with decision support and solutions. We are responsible for a number of IT systems e.g. for simulation of demand in clinical trials, pack and distribution planning, handling of production execution and of inventory management and planning of clinical trial activities.

The position
Our ambition is to improve the use and integration of our IT systems to reduce manual operations and improve quality. To do this, we need you to have a deep understanding of our systems and tools, their data and their capabilities enabling us to release the full potential in optimising our processes. You will maintain and develop existing tools ranging from relatively simple Excel-solutions through Access databases to .NET based applications with SQL Server. In projects with external vendors you will support and challenge our vendors.

Furthermore, you will use your system and data knowledge to support the business with ad hoc data queries from the systems. During authority inspections, or in case of quality issues, this will be under pressure, with limited time and ultimate demands regarding the quality of the output as patient safety or company reputation can be at stake.

Qualifications
You hold a degree in engineering, economics, IT or similar and have several years of experience working with IT and business processes. You have a solid analytical foundation that you apply in your work.

You have a mind for data and data models and you are proficient in SQL (we use T-SQL and PL/SQL). You enjoy analysing data and you have the ability to extract the essence from complex datasets and make it presentable. In addition you have programming experience. Knowledge of the .NET framework and C# is a plus, but general programming competences are more important.

You take an interest in the business and you understand how the tools you implement support the business processes.

On a personal level you thrive from helping colleagues, you work independently, deliver high quality, keep calm and focused under pressure and keep deadlines.

It is an advantage if you have supply chain experience and a background in the pharmaceutical industry with GxP experience.

We will evaluate applications on an ongoing basis.
