Maersk Container Industry is looking for an Electronics Engineer who will be tasked with maintaining some of the most important components on our Star Cool refrigeration machine.
At MCI, innovation is a never-ending process, and you will become part of a team of engineers whose task it is to maintain and develop the positive track record of our Star Cool reefer machine.
We are looking for an Electrical Engineer who will get the responsibility for refrigeration components as compressors, extractor fans, valves, evaporates and condensers. Prior knowledge from the reefer business is not a prerequisite, but an advantage.
You will also cooperate with, and be inspired by, your colleagues at purchasing, quality/service and MCI’s factories in China and Chile.MCI is present locally, but acts globally.

You will have the overall technical responsibility for cooling components like frequency converters, motors, contacts, sensors, and transformers.
You will become our in-house specialist on these components.
You are expected to be a leader when it comes to improving quality, performance and cost cutting.
Furthermore, you will be responsible for the technical communication with a selected number of suppliers;
Investigate and trouble shooting of issues from the field - based on input from the QA/QC department a project is defined
Specify corrections to existing components (mitigation of failures or cost savings)
Who we are looking for
You are an Electronic Engineer with a minimum experience of five years, preferably from an international B2B production enterprise.
You are a “go-getter” who operates comfortably with “freedom under responsibility”.
You also possess an appropriate amount of humility because you will find your new colleagues to be very highly qualified. Still, with a structured methodology, you are the one to identify tasks and steer the work process toward solutions within clearly defined deadlines.
To perform well, you must have an analytical and structured approach, preferably skills within project management.
The job requires you to travel 20-30 days each year in order to provide superior service to customers and users.
You must be comfortable in an international setting and understand different cultures. Of course, you are fluent in written and spoken English.
