Quality Engineer with experience in developing and improving product development processes and quality methods
Are you dedicated about working with quality in the development process and do you have experience in APQP/design for 6-sigma environment in thinking processes & methods? Your challenges
We are looking for new colleagues for our newly established Product Development Quality team, located in Skjern and Østbirk. Our team is in charge of defining and implementing methods, tools and structure to support the Quality Assurance Process.
You will be part of a dedicated daylight team of eight colleagues collaborating cross-functionally with all operations in the product development and product modification/optimisation process. The department in Skjern work in the product area of mechatronics as integrated parts of windows, blinds and shutters. 

As Quality Engineer you will be responsible for tools and methods, you will be an important and integrated part of the project team and your overall focus will be to ensure transparency in the projects from specifications to validation and the continuous risk assessment. You will be one of the driving forces in building up a solid APQP/design for 6-sigma environment, facilitating tools and methods while maintaining an overview of the processes and their progress. This will be an important aspect, as the organisation and its processes mature in the overall Quality domain.  

Your primary tasks will entail to:

  • Be an active partner in projects with Quality Assurance focusing on the project process from performance specification to validation
  • Be an active partner and asset in project planning and embedding quality activities in projects
  • Facilitate and drive methods and processes e.g. FMEA on system and design and keeping the quality thinking and method integrity
  • Develop and improve our processes and methods regarding quality assurance in Product Development
  • Be part of the maturing, developing and implementing quality methods, tools and systematics in our product development processes

Your qualifications
We expect you to have an Engineering degree or other relevant technical background maybe from a similar position. It is essential that you have experience within the field of APQP/design for 6-sigma environment regarding thinking processes and methods. 

Experience with - and/or insight of - methods, tools, CTQ and product development within building components and preferably windows will be an advantage. Experience with change management as well as implementation and facilitation of processes will be a strong advantage. Furthermore, as you will be working in a matrix organisation, this requires the ability to balance different priorities and gaining clear commitments and keeping a holistic approach to cross-functional collaboration.
You have an analytical approach to every task you face, take pride in delivering good results and you have the ability to be the driving force. You acknowledge that the key to success is based on teamwork and knowledge sharing. Handling several projects at a time and at the same time prioritising your efforts optimally is one of your strong points - always with a focus on how to create value for the business. 

On a personal level, you are a self-starter with a ‘can do’ attitude, who thrives on driving and completing projects. You are socially intelligent with the ability to build lasting relations and you know when to listen and to consult others. Competencies such as excellent collaboration and communication skills are required. Last, but not least, you have the ability to coach and ‘lead the way’ by being the good example. 

The position requires that you communicate fluently in Danish and English, both orally and in writing.
