Front-end Innovator - Agronomist

FOSS Analytical A/S is looking for an ambitious and highly skilled biologist or agronomist to drive ideation and innovation on future analytical solutions to assist in optimizing crop and plant production.

The job
To drive innovation on new analytical solutions providing data for optimization of crops and plants production, we are looking for a highly skilled and innovative agronomist with practical experience within commercial agriculture and an extraordinary drive to innovate the agricultural industry.

As Front-end Innovator you will be responsible for developing scenarios on how availability of data is expected to transform agriculture in the future. It will be your responsibility to identify opportunities for analytical solutions and sensors needed for the agricultural industry to take advantage of these opportunities. Finally, together with a highly skilled cross-disciplinary team, you will be responsible for transforming these opportunities into well-defined development projects that can be handed over to R&D development teams.

Additionally, you will be responsible for a portfolio of activities ranging from POP studies conducted externally in collaboration with research institutes and customers’ R&D organizations to project management of internal development projects at FOSS.

Qualifications
Preferred candidates hold a Ph.D degree in agronomy or other relevant scientific discipline such as biochemistry, environmental and bioanalytics. You have substantial experience working with agriculture from the field to the analytical agricultural labs currently supporting the industry with data. Candidates with a proven track record of being able to identify and drive forward new ideas and opportunities will be preferred. Experience working with practical projects aiming to apply data integration for production optimization will be preferred.
