Widex is looking for an experienced Quality Manager with experience from a regulated industry to a newly established position. The objective is to lead the development and implementation of standard and compliant quality processes across different production sites and with external production partners.  

Together with a team of 3 specialists working with quality, NCR’s, and SOP’s, you will set the direction for best practice in quality in production processes, incoming and final inspections, and act as quality advisor for technology development and calibration. You will get additionally 20-25 indirect reports located in the different production facilities. You will report to the VP of Production Technology and be part of the management team.  
  
The Job 
As Quality Manager, your primary responsibility will be to support production with continuous standardization of quality, alignment of processes, documentation, and ensure compliance. In connection with a restructuring in Quality and RA, there is a need for re-thinking and implementing new ways of working with quality globally, and you will be a lead driver in ensuring a joint mindset when it comes to quality standards. Together with direct and indirect reports, you will make Widex best in class when it comes to quality and documentation.

Your areas of responsibilities are: 

  • Daily Management, motivation and development of the Quality Office and team. 
  • Quality of QC processes, both in-process QC, incoming and final inspections. 
  • Quality advisor for production technology development and maintenance calibration process ownership. 
  • Development of standards to support consciously improvement of production quality.  
  • Translation of regulatory requirements to daily processes and procedures.  
  • Following-up on critical quality issues, including identifying root cause and ensuring correction of actions.   

Your success criteria will be to get a diversified team and different production sites to follow the same standards which at the same time leave room for the production to navigate and operate. You do this simultaneously with building a team in quality that shares a joint way of thinking and working. 
  
The Profile 
To succeed in this role, we expect you to be pragmatic, while also knowing when to stay firm and deliver strong arguments. You set a direction, are proactive and flexible in how to get there, and you understand how to link quality with a business mindset. In your work, you move with ease between a global overview and being hands-on in individual problems. Towards your team and stakeholders, you are a strong communicator, engaging and motivating, and act as a role model when it comes to quality processes and structures. You are analytical by nature, structured and organized, and know how to balance between pushing for results and staying patient when needed. Your personal competences are important, and you combine these with following qualifications: 

  • Technical credentials or and Engineering degree in mechanics and/or electronics. 
  • Experience with calibration processes of technical instruments / parts. 
  • Minimum 5 years of experience from working with QA in a production environment in a regulated industry (medical device or pharma). 
  • Work experience in QMS requirements such as ISO 13485 and 21 CFR 820. 
  • Fluent in English and Danish – both written and spoken.
