Optical Engineer for Medical Laser Company

Advalight has developed a multi-wavelength (589 nm & 1319 nm) medical laser system allowing dermatologists to treat a wide variety of skin abnormalities. The product is based on Advalight's proprietary, patented solid state laser technology. The ADVATx® laser treatment system has been cleared for sale in Europe and the US, and we are now preparing for a production ramp-up in 2017. To accelerate our product industrialization and ramp-up efforts, we seek a dedicated production engineer to join our team.
Job profile:
Reporting to our Chief Operating Officer (COO), your tasks will be highly diversified and will include
- Supporting production ramp-up, including facility and equipment expansion
- Instructing and supporting production operators and technicians, incl. technical troubleshooting
- Establishing tools and processes for volume manufacture and quality control
- Participating in the implementation of our new ERP system
- Driving the introduction of engineering changes and new product versions into production
- Driving continuous improvement efforts aiming for high quality and throughput
Candidate profile:
Your qualifications should include
- An M.Sc. or B.Sc. degree in engineering or similar
- Hands-on experience with photonics and electronics
- Experience from a high-tech manufacturing company
- Oral and written fluency in English
Furthermore, the ideal candidate would have experience with
- ISO 9001, 13485, or similar standards
- LEAN manufacturing
- ERP systems
- Development or manufacture of medical devices
