Engineering graduate handling tasks within our offshore wind portfolio

Join us as graduate in ELS Fabrication Management where you will learn how to follow up on technical product quality and supervision across electrical systems, working with transformers and HV components as well as MV/HV/EHV cables. You will have a unique opportunity to learn about the quality of HV cables and HV components and how cables are installed offshore. Together with dedicated colleagues, you will be responsible for following up on quality of cable production, transformer and component production, managing the interface between HV cables and offshore installation and the interface between HV cables and transformers. 
 
In Wind Power, we build, develop and operate wind farms in Northern Europe to produce cleaner, more reliable energy without compromising on the safety of our employees or the environment. We are responsible for more than a third of the world’s offshore wind capacity, and we will be able to supply clean power to 16 million Europeans by 2020. 
 
You will be based at our Danish offices in Skærbæk near Fredericia and in Gentofte in the Greater Copenhagen area and at our UK office in London. Furthermore, you should expect some travelling to our component factories around the world. 
 
The graduate programme
As a graduate, you will be part of a structured two-year training programme that will make a difference in your future career. Moreover, you will acquire extensive practical experience and business insight, while expanding your toolbox and accelerating your personal development.
 
During the graduate programme, you will be assigned to a business unit or a staff function in our international company. You will have the opportunity to rotate within different departments in the business and have different tasks and responsibilities during your rotations. Moreover, you will have the chance to utilise your professional competences on specific tasks and at the same time build up a wide network across the organisation. You will also learn about our business and strategy, while strengthening your problem-solving and team-working skills, your personal competences and your ability to handle changes.
 
Your key tasks
You will have the opportunity to influence your tasks to match your qualifications and interests. In the first rotation, your key tasks will be to assist with identifying and following up on quality challenges on HV components and MV/HV/EHV cables during design and fabrication related to several specific offshore wind farm projects in the procurement and contract phases. 
 
You will rotate between the three departments ELS Fabrication Management, Transformers & HV Components and Offshore Cable Installation. 
 
Your qualifications and core competences include that you 

  • have graduated with a master's degree within electrical engineering within the past year and have delivered excellent results 
  • speak and write English fluently 
  • are keen to develop within an ambitious and dynamic organisation and have a strong personal drive and a high learning capacity 
  • have a strong analytical approach and enjoy taking responsibility 
  • have the ability to adapt yourself to an ever-changing environment and enjoy meeting and working with new people. 

In addition, you will have less than 12 months of relevant working experience.
