For our Structural Design (Blades) team in Aalborg we are looking for an experienced advisory engineer. As an advisory engineer you will act as a technical project manager on different projects within the department. The nature of these projects can be very versatile, and within all areas of the overall responsibilities of the department.

For this position it will be important to ensure, in close collaboration with together with the Head of Department, that the engaged projects and tasks are aligned with the goals and priority of the department. The nature of the projects can to a certain degree both be very team related, but they can also be of more generic character, reaching into other departments either in the R&D or in the Supply Chain Management organization.

What are my responsibilities?

  • Acting as a cross functional senior expert and specialist in planning and the decision making in various blade structural design related projects
  • Drive the development of new technical solutions in projects together with the Chief Engineer, Project Managers, and Lead Engineers
  • Ensure a high quality of solutions by acting as a reviewer and through knowledge sharing between projects
  • Drive innovation and technology development across teams in designated areas
  • Assessment of new technologies
  • Ensure alignment of technology and knowledge across projects and teams

Our R&D organization (Technology) forms the core of our technological leadership, and building values like excellence, innovation and responsibility, the personal and professional development of our employees is essential to us. Cooperative working methods and informal atmosphere throughout the organization is central. The Technology organization in Denmark currently employs approximately 800 people. The daily work in Blade Design and testing combines experimental and theoretical tools, such as lab testing of individual materials, advanced FEA simulations, section casting, and complete blade casting.

What do I need to qualify for this job?

  • You have an an engineering background and preferable a PhD within composite mechanics, machinery or within Aerospace
  • You have working experience in a technical engineering organization preferably aerospace, automotive or wind energy
  • You preferably have +10 years of experience
  • You have strong knowledge of composite materials, test methods and failure analysis of composites
  • You have living and/or working experience in an intercultural environment
  • You have an outgoing personality and possess determination and persistency
  • You have the ability to work independently and the desire to drive own assignment
  • Experience from process and product management is preferred
  • You are analytical, outgoing, ambitious and goal oriented
  • You are responsible, dynamic and willing to adapt
  • You possess strong communication and cooperation skills, as well as excellent English skills in writing and speech
