Business Analyst, Controlling Production & Supply Chain

Curious and structured Business Analyst for newly established Controlling team with a flair for Data Warehousing, Business Intelligence, Analysis and Business Applications
 
We are a newly established team responsible for Business & Financial Controlling in MAN Diesel & Turbo of activities in Production, Logistics and Supply Chain in the business area for Low-speed engines.
 
Our area of responsibility is the whole supply chain spanning management support, accounting and reporting. The team handles a variety of tasks, all of which are rooted in finance and general business performance management.
 
The team’s overall objective is to create transparency, both in day-to-day operations and of impacts and effects of management decisions. It is the team that provides and understands the figures and understands the complexity - both at a very detailed level and at business strategy level.
 
Apart from the position as Data Specialist, the team comprises a Business Controller, a Financial Controller, a Student Assistant and a Manager. You will be part of the Controlling department which consists of 3 teams, that handles controlling of business units and group functions in Copenhagen, Frederikshavn and Holeby.
 
Success criteria
With focus on support to the business, improvement of transparency, and reduction of complexity, the main success criteria of the position are to: 

• Ensure efficient data foundation for analysis and reporting
• Standardize reports, operating procedures and workflows
• Create transparent, maintainable and well-documented data models
• Drive complex data problem solving 

Primary tasks
Your main task will be to provide data in a structured manner. This includes: 

• Standardization of data foundation for reporting, analysis, monitoring, KPIs, etc.
• Preparation and maintenance of SQL and Excel based data structure to support Controlling and the business areas
• Preparation, maintenance and quality assurance of standard reports
• Standardization of tasks, workflows and description of data points
• Complex analysis tasks at transaction level in the ERP system with focus on end-to-end data flows
• Participation in SAP BW/BI based Business Warehousing projects 

As the position is brand new, an important task is to develop a road-map for standardized reporting and creation of data structure.
 
Qualifications

• Experience with development of data models, standard reports and applications
• Education within IT Engineering, Systems Engineering, Business with premium on Advanced Data analysis - or similar
• Solid database programming skills i.e. SQL
• Expert knowledge of Microsoft Excel incl. VBA and similar
• Experience with creation of operating procedures and general documentation
• Preferably experience with SAP BW/BI
• Preferably experience with SAP ERP – general ERP understanding at a conceptual level is necessary
• Basic understanding of Finance and KPI reporting
