As Packaging Project Engineer (PPE) your main responsibilities will be to work as project work stream owner for packaging and filling equipment in bigger projects, both nationally and internationally, resulting in approx. 50-60 days of traveling per year, away from the office in Copenhagen. In collaboration with the local engineering program managers, production plants, the rest of the packaging team and with direct report to the Team Manager-Global Packaging Management, you play an important role in implementing new packaging/filling equipment and process including powder, liquid, bag in box and pelletizing.

You furthermore have a key collaborating role ensuring a prober hand-over process by facilitating performance and availability together with the in-house-customers (Operations and Maintenance) in the ramp up phase of installation of new equipment and/or production lines.  

Your tasks

  • Create Project Plans and organize resources to ensure project milestones are met within expectations of timeline, quality and budget
  • Consult with vendors in the development of packaging for components
  • Develop and execute test methods, validations (GMP), and protocols for packaging related projects
  • Explore and create global standard methods, specifications, guidelines of packaging process, components and capabilities
  • Ensure interaction and communication with stakeholder’s

Your qualifications
The following personal, educational and professional skills will contribute to your success. 

  • Engineer (MSc or BSc) or equivalent and with thorough knowledge within project management, quality and efficiency of packaging in a manufacturing company
  • Both written and spoken English at business level
  • Extensive experience (+5 years) as a project manager for packaging projects
  • Knowledge as a packaging specialist from food/pharma industries
  • The role requires excellent communication and facilitation skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a team and create cross-group collaboration
  • You have the ability to align, interact and communicate with people on many levels and within different cultures creating cooperating relationships
  • You are pro-active, self-propelled and stay focused on the scope and deliverables
  • You are motivated to engage yourself socially in the corporate culture and be responsible, trustworthy, and resourceful
  • Flexibility and creativity is required, as well as the ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Finally, you also get things done by balancing efforts between cost and design
