Application Manager

New influential position in the global aircraft leasing company, Nordic Aviation Capital (NAC)

We are looking for an Application Manager to an IT key position for our client Nordic Aviation Capital (NAC). They are experiencing rapid growth worldwide and is today the worlds largest privately owned aircraft leasing company. 

You will be responsible for their own developed business system handling IT requirements worldwide, and ensure maintainability, availability and scalability as well as application testing. This position is also responsible for supporting day-to-day user relationship. 

You will be facilitating continuously changing business requirements and compliance demands in the different departments and you will challenge the users regarding opportunities and limitations. You will analyse and discuss these requirements with the business in order to identify the best solutions and to ensure root cause and subsequent solution is correctly established and prioritised.

You will evaluate and make recommendation concerning system additions and upgrades, participate in developing and implementing IT processes, procedures and policies for application management. 

In close cooperation with the Vice President, IT and the Project Manager, you achieve that these requirements are developed and implemented. Furthermore, you will ensure testing of the development releases is carried out to a high standard. 

You will train the users in NAC's business system at their headquarter in Billund and worldwide online or onsite, including visits regularly to their sites in Miami, USA, Limerick, Ireland as well as Singapore. You should expect approx. 20 traveling days per year. 

Professional skills
The ideal candidate has some years of experience from a similar position or as a Project Manager - preferably experience working with a large scale ERP application in an international company. 

You have strong analytical and problem solving skills and understanding of and ability to deliver excellent user service. 

You can work with all relevant stakeholders to define processes and governance structures to secure a smooth operation. 

You have a strong business understanding and are able to translate business needs into technical requirements. It is important that you have a good flair for IT.

You have excellent Danish and English skills, writing and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate difficult or complex issue and concept to be wide variety of audiences in NAC organisation. 

You are talented in software testing and have knowledge and experience in test procedures and testing techniques. 

Furthermore, you have a bachelor degree as minimum, preferably in an information technology area (or equivalent experience).

You have advanced analytical skills, are able to quickly understand complex problems and what to get things done. You have an international mindset, are quality driven and are accurate and deadline driven. 

You take initiative and responsibility for your area. You are a skilled problem solver and show a "can-do" attitude and hands-on mentality. 

In order to facilitate the process, you have a pragmatic and positive approach, and you are not afraid of taking the lead. Furthermore, you are good at communicating, and like talking to many different people across nationalities. You inspire confidence and control, keep track of processes and are able to instruct others with motivating approach.
