At the VELUX Group, we give you the chance to grow. To shape your own career. To work in an international environment. To be part of a company that leads the market in sustainable indoor living. We offer you a world of opportunities - if you have the ability and the drive to take them. Discover more at velux.com/career or velux.dk/karriere.

Would you like to work with embedded software development in a work environment that is both busy, challenging and in rapid progress? Then come join our Development Center for VELUX roof windows accessories, where we are looking for skilled Software Engineers to help us expand and increase our software development activities.

On a foundation of wireless technology, we develop home automation controls for internal and external solar screening products and other home automation items for VELUX roof windows. In short, we make the little yet oh-so-important differences that take our products from good to great.
Your challenges
Our activities take place in France, The Czech Republic, China and Denmark, but your base will be in Skjern in Denmark, where 500 employees are deeply focused on the development, production and sourcing of solar screening products, shutters, electronics and internal fittings.

Your daily tasks will mainly be analysis, design, code, testing, and documentation. Unified Modeling Language (UML) is an integral part of most of these tasks. Some of your top goals and priorities will be to secure our high standard of products, to help develop our procedures further and to add to the already positive vibes that characterise the way we work in the team.

Furthermore, you will be developing, optimising, and maintaining our product software. This could concern our own radio communication platform, io-homecontrol® or tasks regarding other platforms and systems which also may surface along the way.

Your qualifications
To be our ideal candidate, you are either a certified software engineer or you have another relevant engineering degree with a focus on embedded software development. You also have experience from the field of embedded software programming and you know your way around electronical development with coding experience in C or C++.

You truly enjoy - and have solid knowledge of - further developing our software development processes.

Furthermore, you have previously worked with real-time operating systems (RTOS) and data communication.

If you are an experienced software unit and integration tester, our smiles will be even wider.

On a personal level, you are thorough and enthusiastic in team settings as well as on your own. Good ideas come to you easily, and you are not afraid to challenge the way you (and we) solve problems. You have an unmistakable sense of quality, which you manage to combine with a sense of humour.

Your opportunities
The VELUX Group offers versatile jobs in an international environment. We offer you a challenging position with great opportunities for personal and professional development in a company with a strong brand that leads the market within sustainable indoor living.

You will be part of a team where we operate at a high professional level, yet we maintain an informal tone and a healthy sense of humour. Things often get heated, but we never abandon our thoroughness and commitment, which are among our most cherished values and we reach our ambitious results through real team efforts.

We believe in empowering people, and we support this through sharing knowledge, delegating responsibility and investing in people who want to make a difference.
