Widex and the position 
Widex is a family owned company founded in Denmark in 1956. Today, we are one of the world’s leading manufacturers in hearing aids. Our products are sold in 100+ markets to customers ranging from governments and larger chains to small and independent shop owners and individual end customers. Our business is healthy and growing. 

The Operation Program Manager team is a cross-functional team who reports within the Global Supply Chain, Sourcing and Operation Programs function.  You will be dedicated to our Device stream, where development of products happens in cooperation with suppliers and therefor your line management will be in Global Sourcing department with reference to the Director of the function. You will as responsible for the Device stream in operations be a part of matrix organization, where you together with Program Managers from Marketing and Development, and with reference to the Program Director, will be overall responsible for delivering the products in your stream as agreed with executive management.  

Your tasks will relate very much to supplier management, i.e. supplier selection and evaluation, commercial negotiations, coordinating production engineering and process development, interacting with quality departments internally and externally as well as setting up the entire supply chain. Your role will be end-to-end meaning that you will be responsible for products in the development phase as well as the end of life process – a truly lifecycle management approach.

Your Background and Personal Profile  
You possess a comprehensive program and project manager toolbox that you wish to apply in a setting with emphasis on advancing technologically superior solutions that improve quality of life for millions of people with hearing challenges around the world.   

As a person, you are motivated by seeing the results of your work as well as engaging with others to create them. You are diligent, curious and impactful. Your approach is self-starting and you convincingly engage stakeholders on all levels of the organization, from shop floor employees to top management. 

You hold a university degree in engineering, economics, or other relevant education within a commercial area. You have professional experience from a relevant position with proven results. Your profile is commercial with broad experience within supply chain, production and you understand operational cost and performance drivers.  

Background: 

  • Minimum 3 years of project management or sourcing manager experience from larger production company or consultancy 
  • Proven experience in working with strategic suppliers with different cultural background 
  • Strong analytical skills with ability to handle large quantitative analyses and to use data actively in the supplier management 
  •  Leadership mindset with ability to run projects independently 
  •  High willingness to learn 
  •  High empathy and good ability to interact across the organization in an international setting 
  •  Strong communication skills 
  •  Strong skills in Excel, PowerPoint and other basic windows tools 

The corporate language is English and the candidate should therefore be fluent in English both oral and written.  

Practical experience with industries like medical devices, pharmaceuticals as well as functional experience in Supply Chain optimization or production is a plus
