Lead Mechanical Engineer R&D

For our Headquarter in Hillerød, we are looking for a self propelled Lead Mechanical Engineer with a “take charge” attitude to join our ambitious group of people in FOSS R&D. You will help us develop world leading instruments from concept until release to production and sales. Being first and best takes something extra. The job
You will get a unique opportunity to work with all aspects of mechanical development both as a Mechanical Developer and coordinator of the mechanical development in the project. We are responsible for developing instruments from concept until release to production and sales. You will join a highly skilled project team as Lead Mechanical Engineer and you will be overall responsible for developing the mechanical design and be deeply involved in the design process.

You will be working with the most advanced technology, together with highly skilled colleagues in strong teams and multidisciplinary projects involving all kinds of experts in the field. We work in a matrix organisation and you will also be part of a Mechanical group where you will find the mechanical backbone in our professional community.

Qualifications
The candidate holds a degree in mechanical engineering and must be fluent in English and Danish.

The preferred candidate have minimum 5 years working experience in the majority of the following:

• Multi disciplinary product development processes in all phases of development
• 3D CAD (We use Autodesk Inventor)
• Instrument design e.g. high precision flow systems
• Planning, coordination and communication
• Structured and process oriented work approach
• Keeping deadlines in tight schedules

The candidate
You love mechanical product development and are not willing to give up your CAD work. At the same time, you have a strong mindset to take responsibility and leadership within all activities but you understand the balance of being involved and letting people work independently.

As a person, you are communicative, well structured, ambitious and a strong team player. We expect you to have a positive mindset even when you are challenged and deadlines are tight. Finally, you must share our values and passion for mechanical and technology development at a very high and challenging level.
