Do you want to work in an international complex logistics organisation with many stakeholders and a diverse cross-functional culture? Would you like to be able to influence the logistics processes and be responsible for the market distribution of VELUX products? Then this position as Senior Logistics Developer may be the next step in your career.
We are looking for a new colleague who would thrive on working with optimisation of processes in our distribution centres and in the last part of the value chain towards the end users. You will be part of our international team responsible for the outbound logistics and transportation within all of the VELUX Groups’ markets.
With special focus on developing long-term relations with international logistics service providers you will play a very important role. In addition, you will analyse, define process improvements in the whole value chain and secure effective operationalisation of the changes.
Furthermore, you will manage the different logistics processes at our external distribution centers and distribution section. That includes close collaboration with international logistics service providers, sales, procurement and other local internal stakeholders.
Your primary tasks will be to:
- Continuously identify problems and root causes in the logistics set-up
- Build up and develop good relations to internal and external stakeholders in the global team of outbound logistics and encourage global collaboration on all levels
- Create, monitor, follow up and run continuous improvements and performance management?
- Focus on securing performance excellence by applying lean standards
Other tasks will be to participate in international logistics projects with the project department in Kolding, to lead and participate in operational meetings and to participate in the planning, execution and control of international logistics tenders.
You have a relevant master’s degree in Economics, Engineering or the like preferably with at least 3-5 years of relevant work experience in a larger organisation perhaps from a similar position as logistics developer, logistics specialist or logistics consultant. Besides, your experience also include working with process improvements, designing international logistics set-up, relationship development and stakeholder management.
You have some knowledge of the European logistics market with focus on groupage, parcel distribution and warehousing and could have experience from establishing partnerships with logistics service providers.

On a personal level, you are inquisitive by nature with a “can do” attitude. You see yourself as an independent person with a strong drive getting your energy from achieving goals. As a team player, you are open and forthcoming and you truly enjoy building strong and positive relations with others.
Competencies such as excellent communication skills, high proficiency in English and profound knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint, SAP and other relevant tools are required.
